Pengembangan Reminder System Imunisasi Berbasis SMS Gateway

One of the efforts to improve health and prevent disease (preventive) thoroughly and continuously is immunization. In Indonesia, immunization must be given to children under 12 years of age. Immunization is done at the Puskesmas, but currently there are Puskesmas that do not have a historical record of immunization for each baby. The immunization of all infants is recorded in an immunization aid book at the Puskesmas. Recording immunization for infants using immunization schedule cards given during the immunization program registration. Thus communication between health care facilities with parents of infants is less efficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an immunization reminder system that helps health care facilities in providing information about immunization schedules and the benefits of immunization given to each baby. Development of a reminder system using PHP with the Codeigniter Framework, a database using MySQL, and the engine machine used is Gammu (an open source SMS gateway). This reminder system has been developed, the Puskesmas can obtain data on infants who take immunization programs and historical records of accurate immunizations. The use of SMS Gateway-based technology can reminder and warn parents about the schedule, types and benefits of immunization to be received. SMS is sent to all operators with an average delivery time of 19.6 seconds for the SMS Reminder and 21.6 seconds for SMS Requests from parents.
Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan mencegah penyakit (preventif) secara menyeluruh dan berkesinambungan adalah imunisasi. Di Indonesia, imunisasi wajib diberikan untuk anak di bawah usia 12 tahun. Pemberian imunisasi dilakukan di Puskesmas, namun saat ini terdapat Puskesmas yang tidak memiliki catatan historis imunisasi setiap bayi. Pemberian imunisasi seluruh bayi dicatat di dalam sebuah buku bantu imunisasi di Puskesmas. Pada saat pendaftaran program imunisasi orang tua akan mendapat kartu jadwal imunisasi. Imunisasi yang sudah dan akan diberikan kepada bayi akan dicatat di kartu tersebut. Dengan demikian komunikasi antara fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan dengan orang tua bayi kurang efisien. Oleh dari karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem pengingat imunisasi yang membantu pihak fasilitas layanan kesehatan dalam menyediakan informasi mengenai jadwal imunisasi dan manfaat dari imunisasi yang diberikan kepada setiap bayi. Pengembangan sistem pengingat menggunakan PHP dengan Codeigniter Framework, database menggunakan MySQL, dan engine machine yang digunakan adalah Gammu (SMS gateway open source). Sistem pengingat yang telah dikembangkan ini, Puskesmas dapat memperoleh data bayi yang mengikuti program imunisasi dan catatan historis imunisasi yang akurat. Pengunaan teknologi berbasis SMS Gateway dapat mengingatkan (reminder) dan memperingatkan (warning) orang tua mengenai jadwal, jenis dan manfaat imunisasi yang akan diterima. SMS dapat dikirim ke semua operator dengan waktu rata-rata pengiriman sebesar 19,6 detik untuk SMS Reminder dan 21,6 detik untuk SMS Request dari orang tua.
