Author Guidelines

General Requirements

  1. The article must be submitted online via journal website. Author must log in to submit the script. Free of charge.
  2. The article authored by at least 2 (two) authors.
  3. The article must be 6 to 10 A4 pages long (210 x 297 mm) and must be written with given template, includes pictures, tables, doesn’t contain appendix. The script written using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) with following margins: top = 19mm, bottom = 43mm, left and right = 14.32mm.
  4. Title must be written in Bahasa Indonesia, while the Abstract and Keywords must be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
    • Maximum words of the title are 12, with conditions: Times New Roman font, size 20, single space, center alignment, bold text. If the title is too long, the editor may change it without changing the meaning, without author’s permission when the script would be printed.
    • Title is suggested using Bahasa Indonesia with Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (EBI). If there are words that use English, write it in italic format.
    • Article is started with abstract and keywords. Abstract must not have pictures or tables, justify alignment, TNR 9 font, bold and single space. Abstract must be written in English, while main topic must be written in Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract written in the beginning of the paragraph, write it in bold format, TNR font, size 9 and single space. Abstract should not be more than 250 words. Abstract must describe the essence of the whole content of the article.
    • The keywords must be consisted of five to eight words, separated by comma, justify alignment, TNR Font, size 9, and single space. Keyword must be chosen carefully, so the keyword able to describe the concept of the article, and makes the article easy to find.
  5. Article body must be submitted with following conditions:
    • Written in 2 column format, with 4.2mm (0.17”) spaces between each column, justify alignment, TNR font, size 10, 1-space. Page margin as follows: top = 19mm (0.75”); bottom = 43mm (1.69”); left = right = 14.32mm (0.56”).
    • Writing systematic of the article must be consist of 4 main section: (1) Preliminary, (2) Methodology, (3) Results and Explanation, and (4) Summary. Acknowledgments may be written after the summary. The article reference should be placed on the end of the article. Preliminary and summary must have a section title. The crosshead of the main content should describe the research methodology of the article. Results and explanation section may be written in one section, or written in a different chapter.
  6. Maximum 3 levels heading allowed, with following conditions:
    • Heading 1: level 1 heading should be written in small caps, center alignment and using Roman numbering. Acknowledgments and Reference section must not be using Roman numbering. For example: “I. PENDAHULUAN”.
    • Heading 2: level 2 heading should be written in italic format, left alignment and using uppercase alphabet. For example: “C. Metode”.
    • Heading 3: level 3 heading should be written in italic format, single space and using Arabic numbering followed by closing parenthesis. Level 3 heading should be terminated by colons “:”. The content of level 3 section follows the heading in the same paragraph. For example, this section using level 3 Heading.
  7. Pictures and tables must be placed in the center (centered alignment). Bigger pictures and tables could be stretched on both columns. Every table or picture which covers more than 1 column should be placed on the top or bottom of the page. Colored pictures allowed and should be using Arabic numbering. The caption of the picture must be written with following format: font TNR, size 8, centered alignment for 1-line caption, and justified alignment for multiline caption. Caption should be placed after the related picture.
  8. Mathematical equation must be written clearly, numbered, and included with information needed.
  9. Page numbers, header and footer are not used. Every hypertext link and bookmark will be deleted. If the paper should refer to some email address or URL in the article, those link must be written in normal font.
  10. Quotations and references written with IEEE standards (refer to template on Jurnal Telematika Web Site)
  • Quotations must be formatted as follows: [1], [2], [3], …
  • Wikipedia, personal blog, and non-scientific website not allowed.
  • The latest main references must be taken less than 5 years.

Structure of The Article

  1. INTRODUCTION (Times New Roman 12). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. Introduction contains gap analysis of the research and description of the journal's supporting theory in the result of the research. All references used in introduction and the manuscript (used as the quotation source) should be listed in the references.
  2. METHODOLOGY (Times New Roman 12). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, includes from data collection to data analysis.
  3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (Times New Roman 12). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts.  The result should not contain raw data, but contains data that has been processed/analyzed by the method specified. Discussion compares the result using the concept/theory in the references. There should be statement, table, image, diagram, graph, sketch, etc. in the result and discussion.
  4. CONCLUSION and SUGGESTIONS (optional) (Times New Roman 12).  Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. Conclusion contains the finished result of discussion that has been summarized.
  5. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (optional) (Times New Roman 12). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. It is better to compose the content in one paragraph.
  6. REFERENCES (Times New Roman 12). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. Add the source of reference points that is used as quotation in the manuscript writing. Use IEEE style in writing (see Reference Style Guide) Use the reference manager Mendeley application in writing and arranging the reference. There should be minimal 10 literature titles to be listed in the manuscript reference (80% are primary literature, such as scientific journal, proceeding, report of a research, thesis; 20% are secondary literature, such as book and scientific blog or website.)

In order to make it easier, writer is strongly suggested to apply the template below. Writer just need to write down the content into the template. We provide template in Indonesia and English.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. This journal is peer-reviewed so please the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review must be followed.
 

Copyright Notice

  1. Every manuscript handed to Editorial Board Member has to obey the valid policy and stipulation.
  2. Publication rights of every Jurnal Telematika manuscript published is handed by the Editorial Board Member along with agreement with the writer.
  3. The published manuscript in electronic edition can be accessed with no cost for education and research purpose only. There will be penalty as what is written in the Copyright Law (UU Hak Cipta) for accessing the journal outside the purposes above.

Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
