Abstract

The main problem addressed in this study is the lack of accurate mapping and analysis of tobacco crop distribution in Proppo Subdistrict, Pamekasan Regency, to support agricultural planning and land management. This study aims to map and analyse tobacco crop distribution patterns based on environmental factors and land use using a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The data or features used include satellite imagery from Google Earth Engine, administrative spatial data, and land attributes. The analysis used the intersect-overlay technique to calculate land area based on administrative boundaries, and the Moran index to detect spatial patterns in tobacco plant distribution. Data processing was performed using QGIS 3.40 software. The results showed that the total tobacco area reached 3,335.344 hectares with a random distribution pattern, especially in the northern and eastern regions, although there were initial indications of clustering in several western and central regions. Moran's I value of 0.436 indicated a tendency towards clustering, but it was not statistically significant. This study contributes to the visualisation of tobacco crop distribution using GIS, which can support agricultural planning and land management using spatial data.
