PD XYZ is a manufacturing companies that produce rubber welts for shoes. The usage of First Come First Serve (FCFS) methods in production scheduling currently results in late completion of orders up to 40% of the total orders per month. The scheduling process does not consider the difficulty level of processing on each model, ordered quantity of each model, and due time from each customer, but only from the level of arrival. In this research, a production scheduling system was designed to assist the production manager in providing the optimal job sequences information, based on makespan and tardiness of orders to minimize the late completion of customers’ orders.
