Analisis Beban Kerja Pegawai di Area Packaging PT. Pudak Scientific

PT. Pudak Scientific is one of the manufacturing companies that produce various types of aerospace components and non-aerospace components with high precision. Management need to calculate workload faced by all employees in the packaging area. Analysis of workload is done in two methods, quantitative and qualitative method. Quantitatively, mental workload is calculated by using work sampling method, in which workers are observed with a random visit schedule, then productive percentage of work time is calculated. On the other hand, qualitatively by using the NASA-TLX method, workers fill the NASA-TLX questionnaire that has been modified to make it easier to understand. After the required data is collected, work sampling and NASA-TLX data is processed and analyzed. The results will determine solutions that PT. Pudak Scientific need in the packaging area. The results show that the workload level is quite high. It can be seen from the calculation of productive percentage of work time using work sampling, that is 121.17%. On the other hand, the results of NASA-TLX questionnaire show that the average workload of worker is 77.82. Both of these results have exceeded the maximum human workload. It can be said that company need some improvements to fix the high workload in the packaging area. The proposed solutions are adding worker, work instruction renewal, adding some facilities in packaging area, implementing FIFO on racking, and making visual board.
PT. Pudak Scientific merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai jenis komponen aerospace dan komponen non-aerospace yang berpresisi tinggi. Kebutuhan yang dirasakan manajemen adalah mendapatkan informasi beban kerja yang dihadapi oleh seluruh pegawai di area packaging. Analisis beban kerja dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu cara kuantitatif dan cara kualitiatif. Secara kuantitatif, beban kerja dihitung dengan menggunakan metode work sampling, di mana objek penelitian diamati dengan jadwal kunjungan yang random, kemudian dihitung persentase produktifnya. Sementara cara kualitatif menggunakan metode NASA-TLX, di mana objek penelitian mengisi kuesioner NASA-TLX yang telah dimodifikasi agar lebih mudah dimengerti. Setelah data yang dibutuhkan terkumpul, maka dilakukan pengolahan dan analisis terhadap data pengamatan work sampling dan isian kuesioner NASA-TLX tersebut. Hasil perhitungan akan menentukan apa yang dapat menjadi solusi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan manajemen PT. Pudak Scientific khususnya di area packaging. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja yang dihadapi cukup tinggi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan persentase produktif menggunakan work sampling yang menunjukkan angka 121.17%. Sedangkan hasil kuesioner NASA-TLX menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata beban kerja pegawai sebesar 77.82. Kedua hasil ini telah melewati batas maksimum beban kerja manusia sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa perlu adanya perbaikan untuk mengatasi tingginya beban kerja di area packaging. Hasil Analisis menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan adanya beberapa alternatif solusi yang diantaranya melakukan penambahan pegawai, pembaharuan work instruction, penambahan beberapa fasilitas di area packaging, menerapkan metode FIFO pada kegiatan racking, dan membuat visual board.
