Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The article must be submitted online via the journal website. The author must log in to submit the script. Free of charge.
The article is authored by at least 2 (two) authors.
The article must be 6 to 10 A4 pages long (210 x 297 mm) and must be written with a given template, include pictures and tables, and not contain an appendix. The script was written using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) with the following margins: top = 19mm, bottom = 43mm, and left and right = 14.32mm.
The title must be written in Bahasa Indonesia, while the Abstract and Keywords must be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Maximum words of the title are 12, with conditions: Times New Roman font, size 20, single space, center alignment, bold text. If the title is too long, the editor may change it without changing the meaning, without the author’s permission when the script would be printed.
The title is suggested using Bahasa Indonesia with Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan (EYD). If there are words that use English, write them in italic format.
The article starts with an abstract and keywords. The abstract must not have pictures or tables, justify alignment, TNR 9 font, bold, and single space. The abstract must be written in English, while the main topic must be written in Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract written at the beginning of the paragraph, write it in bold format, TNR font, size 9, and single space. The abstract should not be more than 250 words. The abstract must describe the essence of the whole content of the article.
The keywords must consist of five to eight words, separated by a comma, justify alignment, TNR Font, size 9, and single space. Keywords must be chosen carefully, so the keyword can describe the concept of the article and make the article easy to find.
The article body must be submitted with the following conditions:
Written in 2-column format, with 4.2mm (0.17”) spaces between each column, justify alignment, TNR font, size 10, 1-space. Page margin as follows: top = 19mm (0.75”); bottom = 43mm (1.69”); left = right = 14.32mm (0.56”).
Writing systematic of the article must consist of 4 main sections: (1) Preliminary, (2) Methodology, (3) Results and Explanation, and (4) Summary. Acknowledgments may be written after the summary. The article reference should be placed at the end of the article. Preliminary and summary must have a section title. The crosshead of the main content should describe the research methodology of the article. The results and explanation section may be written in one section, or written in a different chapter.
Maximum 3 levels heading allowed, with the following conditions:
Heading 1: level 1 heading should be written in small caps, with center alignment, and using Roman numbering. Acknowledgments and Reference section must not be using Roman numbering. For example: “I. PENDAHULUAN”.
Heading 2: level 2 heading should be written in an italic format, left alignment, and using the uppercase alphabet. For example: “C. Metode”.
Heading 3: level 3 heading should be written in italic format, single space, and using Arabic numbering followed by closing parenthesis. Level 3 heading should be terminated by colons “:”. The content of the level 3 section follows the heading in the same paragraph. For example: 3) Heading.
Pictures and tables must be placed in the center (centered alignment). Bigger pictures and tables could be stretched on both columns. Every table or picture that covers more than 1 column should be placed on the top or bottom of the page. Colored pictures are allowed and should be using Arabic numbering. The caption of the picture must be written in the following format: font TNR, size 8, centered alignment for 1-line caption, and justified alignment for multiline caption. The caption should be placed after the related picture.
Mathematical equations must be written, numbered, and included with the information needed.
Page numbers, header, and footer are not used. Every hypertext link and bookmark will be deleted. If the paper should refer to some email address or URL in the article, those links must be written in normal font.
Quotations and references are written with IEEE standards (refer to the template on the JABS website)
Quotations must be formatted as follows: [1], [2], [3], …
Wikipedia, personal blogs, and non-scientific websites are not allowed.
The latest main references must be taken less than 5 years.

STRUCTURE OF THE ARTICLE

INTRODUCTION (Times New Roman 10). Should be written in 10 Times New Roman fonts. The introduction contains a gap analysis of the research and a description of the journal's supporting theory in the result of the research. All references used in the introduction and the manuscript (used as the quotation source) should be listed in the references.
METHODOLOGY (Times New Roman 10). Should be written in 10 Times New Roman fonts. State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, including from data collection to data analysis.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (Times New Roman 10). Should be written in 10 Times New Roman fonts.  The result should not contain raw data but contain data that has been processed/analyzed by the method specified. The discussion compares the result using the concept/theory in the references. There should be a statement, table, image, diagram, graph, sketch, etc. in the result and discussion.
CONCLUSION and suggestions (optional) (Times New Roman 10).  Should be written in 10 Times New Roman fonts. The conclusion contains the finished result of the discussion that has been summarized.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (optional) (Times New Roman 10). Should be written in 11 Times New Roman fonts. It is better to compose the content in one paragraph.
REFERENCES (Times New Roman 10). Should be written in 8 Times New Roman fonts. Add the source of reference points that are used as quotations in the manuscript writing. Use IEEE style in writing (see Reference Style Guide). Use the reference manager Mendeley application in writing and arranging the reference. There should be a minimum of 10 literature titles to be listed in the manuscript reference (80% are primary literature, such as scientific journals, proceedings, reports of research, and thesis; 20% are secondary literature, such as books and scientific blogs or websites.)
